NAL is a 2024 Recipient of the Inaugural Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Awards
NAL received the 2024 Workforce Excellence Award from the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA) and Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC) earlier this year. We are honored to be recognized for NAL’s commitment to our existing workforce and efforts to inspire the next generation of manufacturers.
In its first year of the Manufacturing Excellence Award program, the IMA and IMEC received nearly 150 nominations to recognize and honor outstanding contributions within the manufacturing sector. NAL is excited to be among the inaugural class of recipients.
The Workforce Excellence category recognizes a manufacturing company that is committed to building talent pipeline for the manufacturing sector by engaging in local, state, or federal efforts. NAL was judged on evidence of innovative workforce programs, commitment to high-quality education and training, and our positive impact on addressing the skills gap and growing interest in manufacturing.
Our local, educational outreach efforts have amplified during October, Manufacturing Month. October is one of our favorite times of year because we get to celebrate our industry and share with the community what advanced manufacturing is all about. The industry is no longer dark, dirty and dangerous like so many still imagine. Rather, it is clean, high tech, safe, and sustainable. This month, NAL partnered with local schools to welcome hundreds of students into our plants to tour our state-of-the-art facilities and see our advanced equipment and working conditions. NAL also hosted it’s third annual MFG Day in the Park with nearly 150 4th graders in Paris, IL.
