A few weeks ago, a mother Killdeer bird made her nest on the grounds between the Paris Manufacturing Plant and our Corporate Office. We’ve learned that Killdeer birds will often make their nests in rocks to hide their eggs in plain site from predators. After setting up a barrier of sorts to protect the nest from pedestrian traffic, we’re happy to report that two of the eggs have hatched with one or two more eggs still in the nest. Several NAL Team Members participated in the Ben Myers Memorial Golf Outing in honor of our coworker and friend. Ben joined NAL as a Logistics Planner in November of 2021 where his mother Denise Titzer works as a Purchasing Coordinator. Ben lost his life in a tragic car accident earlier this year and is greatly missed by all of us at NAL who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Final numbers are still being tabulated, but through the golf tournament, Ben’s family raised about $4,000 to be put towards a memorial scholarship in Ben’s name at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) where he graduated and played on the golf team.

Congratulations to our very own Jackson Parcel who came away with a pretty nice prize of a foursome and a twosome of golf at Idle Creek Golf course in Terre Haute. He also had the longest putt on hole 5, approximately 30-35 feet long! Both teams of NAL golfers finished the round with a 65, seven under par, placing them in a tie for 13th place. ... Corporate and Paris Plant Team Members helped us kick off our annual Honda Service Projects at the Special Olympics Indiana Summer Games in Terre Haute, IN last Friday! We had a great volunteer group including Plant Manager Steve Fox, to help us with long jump and bowling events. Congratulations to all the athletes on a job well done! #EverydayChampions
